The Fox Valley Technical College community is rallying to support the relief efforts in Haiti by holding a daily collection station for financial donations from students, staff, and the general public in the commons at its Appleton campus, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, through February 4.

Donors will receive a symbolic ribbon, made by current Haitian students at FVTC, displaying the official colors of Haiti. The college is also placing donation canisters throughout its Appleton campus to raise further awareness about the relief effort.

Fox Valley Tech’s Riverside campus in Oshkosh and regional centers in Chilton, Waupaca, Neenah, Wautoma, and Clintonville will hold the same collection arrangements beginning Monday, January 25.

The donation drive will culminate with a fundraiser, Rebuild Haiti, FVTC’s Cultural Benefit for Haiti, on Thursday, February 4, from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. in the Appleton campus commons. The event will feature cultural dances and presentations, a silent auction, and food and refreshments. Rebuild Haiti is open to the public, and proceeds will benefit the local chapter of Friends of Haiti.
