GOAL classes are offered at many locations throughout the Fox Valley Technical College District. If you would like to attend GOAL classes at the Appleton Main Campus or Oshkosh Main Campus, you may call the schedule your GOAL First Step to Sucess Orientations. If you would like to attend GOAL at another location, please refer to the information below and call the location you wish to attend.  

NOTE: The Goal First Steps to Success Orientation is for students who are new to GOAL. If you have attended GOAL classes within the past two years, please call the location you wish to attend. Fox Valley Technical College toll-free number is 1-800-735-3882

What is English Language Learning (ELL)?


ELL is a language program designed to meet the needs of adults whose native language is not english. Course focus on reading, writing, and speaking and career skills in
six levels of instruction.

Each Level is designed to provide students with an academic environment in which to learn to English language as quickly as possible.

Field trips and seminars that focus on the following topics are available to all students:

Federal and State Government
Banking and Finance
Local businesses and Commerce
Museums
Hospitals/Medical System
Plus many more!

As a part of ELL classes, students learn about:
North American Culture
Academic Programs
Career/Workplace Skills
Study Skills
Computer Skills
Citizenship Preparation 
TOEFL Preparation

Pronunciation
Conversation
Reading/Vocabulary

Class Schedules
Classes in all six levels are offered mornings, afternoons and evenings throughout the year (reduced scheduling in the summer).

Program Costs
Classes are FREE! Student only pay:
$10 Registration Fee (Every semester)
$5 Student Identification Card
Textbooks (cost varies per level and schedule)
